Suit by day, Mohawk by night! If you’ve ever been walking through Tokyo at night and wondered if you saw a Mohawk with a nice goatee, you probably thought right. Our very own suit wearing Aaron Pokluda has been selected to play in the Top League Trials. Aaron moved to Tokyo in fall 2018, and promptly joined the Crusaders thereafter for our Shuto League Campaign. He has worked diligently to achieve this feat as well as spread his name positively throughout The Shuto League and the region. Between his work volunteering for various rugby groups and committees, one could say he has an obsessive love with the sport. We look forward to seeing Aaron represent the Crusaders in March at the trials. If you want to know more about Mr. Mohawk himself, read  his bio regarding his origins below. Aaron is a rugby player with origins in the Rio Grande Valley. Hailing from a media and literature background, Aaron enjoys exploring what makes things tick. Though he holds accolades in the fields of English language, multimedia, history, and published research in psychology, Aaron also enjoys the grittier things in life. Though his rugby career had an odd start, the co-founder of Abilene Christian University Rugby soon found himself in demand across the state by the year 2017. Following a summer term with the UTEP Miners Sevens program and All-Star series in New Zealand, Aaron has laced up his boots for many a club and match across the southern United States. Aaron made his Crusaders debut in October, 2018 against the Fuji/Meguro Barbarians. When not suiting up for the Crusaders, Aaron assists with and volunteers for various rugby operations across Tokyo and Yokohama. Beyond footy, Aaron enjoys listening to heavy metal music and studying the behavioral pattern of sloths.
