Zoom Socials for the Soul

by Reece Morgan Lads, I hope 2021 has kicked off with due distancing and isolation for you all… As it’s looking unlikely that we’ll be able to gather safely en masse for the foreseeable future, it’s high time for the next Cru Zoom social! This Saturday, January 30th at 7 p.m., we’ll be gathering for another evening of gentle boozing. Fingers crossed that we can have some more appearances from old Crusaders near and far, and that we break last time’s record of a 2 a.m. finish. I’ll send log-in details around shortly before the event. In lieu of our pub quiz initially planned for December, we’ll also be having a Zoom pub quiz on February 20th, with exact kick-off TBC. The ever inimitable, often inimical Owen Morris will be resuming the emcee duties, so expect a cracker. Get your teams (maximum of six, to simplify management) together for a night of technical mishaps and good fun; prizes for the winning team are to be confirmed, but almost certainly alcoholic in design. Make sure to update your TeamSnap to aid our planning, especially for the quiz. Please also rest assured that, despite the madness going on around us, new avenues for outdoor, distanced socials are being explored; we’ll in touch about these in due course, provided that they are sensible from both a practicality and safety standpoint.
