This Sunday a core group of Tokyo Crusaders players turned their preparations for the upcoming season up a notch. Shuto League Division 1 newcomers Crusaders have an innovative pre-season schedule in place leading up to their first competitive fixture on September 15th. Efforts are ongoing to recruit new players but the club is also hoping to boost their performance through a training program at sponsor SYNERGY Center in Shirokanedai. Each weekend Crusaders players will be put through their paces in a grueling strength and conditioning session run by SYNERGY co-owner Travis Johnson. Travis is passionate about sports performance conditioning and about supporting Tokyo Crusaders. He is also Strength and Conditioning Consultant for Japanese professional club Kamaishi Seawaves who this season will themselves be pushing hard for promotion to Top League, so the lad’s are in good hands! August 25th & September 1st will be team training sessions at which attendance is essential for all those who want to be involved in this year’s Shuto League campaign. Crusaders management team are excited that the pre-season is finally underway and hope to maintain the forward momentum gained from last season’s promotion. Not many clubs at our level get the chance to utilise facilities and expertise like this and we hope it will also help attract more players to the club. Players wishing to get involved in playing for Crusaders can get in touch via email. See more photos on our Facebook page
