Jimmy Higham

Support The Jimmy Higham Bursary Fund

Last Christmas, Jimmy Higham, a close family friend of current Tokyo Crusaders player Tom Ball, lost his battle with cancer only 9 months after his diagnosis at the age of 26. Jimmy was a keen rugby player for both Aspull RUFC and Durham University RUFC. After University Jimmy went on to become a PE teacher at Wellington College, England, where he also coached rugby. After his death, one of Jimmy’s friends discovered an email he had been sent by Jimmy before he was diagnosed with cancer, which included a recording of him singing Stevie Wonder’s ‘Isn’t She Lovely’. This track has since been released and is available for download on iTunes. The highest point it reached so far is number one in the iTunes R&B/Soul chart and number 11 in the overall chart. Please help make Jimmy #1 and support a good cause, strong player and great friend.
(Or search in iTunes for “Jimmy Higham”) The proceeds from the single will go to the Jimmy Higham Bursary Fund, which Wellington College set up in his honour. The bursary will allow 16 year olds to spend their last two years at the college with its excellent facilities – giving them a life changing opportunity.
