Although the final whistle blew many weeks ago, Sunday night’s award ceremony brought the Shuto League to a close for another season. It was a thrilling tournament with many major upsets, and the fight for the top spot went right down to the wire – casual beer and pizza was the perfect way to round off the year!
We’re thrilled to announce that the Tokyo Crusaders swept the board clean:
Shuto League Division 1 Champions
Best Representative – eternal skirt-hound Stewart Henwood
Best Player – storming man-child Matthew Foster
Above all else, we were thrilled to be declared Club of the Tournament, as chosen by the other squads in the league.
It goes without saying that we take the physical side of the game seriously, and we know that our opponents value the test we offer them. Our real crusade, though, is to foster our core tenets of respect, fair play, and massive piss-ups across the Kanto region. We’re grateful that this is appreciated by our fellow squads, and we’ll do our best to always meet their expectations.
Congratulations to all of the Shuto participants, and we look forward to challenging you all again in the 2017/18 season!
